Requirements

* B.Sc Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
* Must have certifications of drilling training courses, and be a member of an accredited Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
* Experience working at the well site both onshore and offshore must be a minimum of 5 years as drilling engineer on jack up and semi submersible rigs
* Must be able to design general well drilling programs using geological data and detailed casing, drilling fluid, directional drilling, cementing, completion, well testing, well simulation, workover programs, which are designed by respective specialists
* Must be able to calculate drill string strength, casing strength, cement volume and displacement, calculate kill fluid volume and pumping parameters according to different methods, must have knowledge of drilling equipment and tools such as drill bits, liner hanger and running tools, casing running equipment, fishing tools, etc
* Must have certificates of safety and oil and gas well control training courses given by authorized international petroleum companies, schools or societies
* Familiarity with and respect of Vietnam law and regulations advantageous, and eligible to live and work in Vietnam
* Speak and write English Fluently

Responsibilities

* Assist drilling superintendent in management and supervision of drilling, completion, testing, simulation, and workover of oil and gas wells
* Temporarily relief drilling superintendent when he is absent from the office

B.S. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with minimum ten (10) years relevant experience in the oil/gas offshore industry.

Besides extensive expertise in offshore pipeline design & engineering, familiarity in pipeline materials application and stress engineering is essential. Must be fully knowledgeable about codes, standards & recommended practices for this discipline. Experience with Consultant, owner or Project Management Consultant organisation in the execution of similar projects is a must. Participation in projects in Middle East is beneficial.
