Drilling Supervisor

Shell Exploration & Production Company (SEPCo) is responsible for safely finding, developing and producing oil and natural gas in the United States. Shell has been operating in the Gulf of Mexico for five decades and these operations provide more than 73 percent of our U.S. oil and gas production.

SEPCo, which employs approximately 2,000 people in the U.S., is the largest of Shell's E&P operating units, accounting for 17 percent of Shell's worldwide oil and gas production. Based in Houston, Texas, our key operating locations are in the Gulf of Mexico, South Texas, Wyoming, Alabama, and Alaska.
Shell Exploration and Production Company is currently seeking a Drilling Supervisor for their South Texas location


Requirements:

* Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
* Support Shell E & P Company's policy of a drug-free work environment, a legal right to work in the U.S.
* Understand the regulatory requirements for onshore drilling
* Understand safety management requirements for onshore operations and a personal commitment to safety
* Work a 14 day on and 14 day off schedule offshore, 12 hours per day, to work on high platforms, walk on elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs, have effective leadership and communication skills
* Work in a team environment, Computers with Windows operating environment, ability to read and write English
* Participate in all aspects of onshore drilling operations, experience with geopressures (especially high pressure/high temperature), experience with deep wells (greater than 15,000 feet), experience in extended reach, horizontal drilling
