Wind Turbine Technician

Description:

This position will be responsible for providing repair and testing services on a broad range of rotating electrical equipment; including wind turbines, large and/or complicated AC and DC equipment, such as power generator rotating fields and stators, motor armatures / rotors and field frames / stator, brushless and DC exciters and collector assemblies.

Requirements:

· Willing to work long hours, weekends, and various shifts when needed.
· Ability and willingness to travel; domestically and international. Travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required.
· Ability and willingness to work in large power plants, including nuclear power stations, and sites requiring a drug screen.
· Ability and willingness to work day or night shift, from 8-12 hours/shift, and up to 5-7 days/week.

(Desired)
·Demonstrated ability to properly operate electrical test equipment.
·Knowledge and experience in rewinding processes; installing coils, bars and related components; experience in winding techniques of tying, taping and assembly.
·Self-starter with ability to work with minimal direction.
·Willingly accepts job challenges.
·Formal training in electrical theory or equipment repair; technical or trade school certification or minimum of four (4) years of experience in rotating electrical equipment repair.
