Required skills: Demonstrated experience leading a team of production DB2 DBAs with additional responsibilities of leading Enterprise Information Management for other non-DB2 areas when needed.
Expert in DB2 (version 8)
Knowldege of FDIC data environment
Knowledge of Oracle 10g or SQLServer 2005
Ability to use ERWIN
Knowledge of FDIC RUP methodology
Demonstrated communication skills with Section Chief level.
Specific Job Description: Person will lead the DB2 team and support the FDIC production database development and production environments. Needs to have a mix of Data Analyst and DBA background. Knowledgeable in RUP. Demonstrated experience in DB2 with additional knowledge of Oracle and/or SQLServer.
Standard Job Description Performs analyses, development and evaluation of databases which includes database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design, develop and maintain databases. Reviews data loaded into the data bases/warehouses for accuracy. Responsible for preparation of system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.

Typical Minimums:
Bachelors degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 years or more of professional experience; or 18 years with a related Masters, or 15 years with a related PhD degree. Viewed as the most senior authority in discipline.
