Sr Software Engineer II

Job Description:
Raytheon is looking for software developers to support potential work on the GSE Program in Garland, Texas. This position will be focused on interacting with and mining data from a feature database. Candidates are expected to execute all aspects of the software development lifecycle. This includes design, implementation, test and problem resolution. The available positions are on a small development team, so candidates must be self-motivated and eager to be involved in a variety of tasks. Candidates should be strong OO developers with 7+ years of software development experience. Candidates should be familiar with standard configuration management tools and software development tools. Candidates should have extensive experience working with databases, and candidates should have solid communication skills to compliment their technical abilities.

Required Skills:
Applicants must have 7+ years of software development experience
Applicants must have extensive database experience using the following products/tools:
Oracle, Triggers, SQL, PLSQL
Applicants must have solid experience using OO A&D and in developing software using an OO language such as C++ or Java.
Applicants should possess a B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
Applicants must have or be able to receive a SSBI security clearance.

Desired Skills:
It is preferred that applicants have J2EE experience.
It is preferred that applicants have GIS experience.
It is preferred that applicants have solid experience with the following products/tools:
Java, C++, JDBC, UML, Clearcase, Eclipse, and Application Servers

Required Education(including Major):
B.S. in Computer Science or comparable technical major with strong CS coursework.
