Job Description:

Controls Systems Engineers are responsible for ensuring that the overall controls design and integration requirements for an integrated subsea production control system fully satisfy the contractual requirements of the customer, meets all functional specifications, and complies with Company standards. Although system engineers must be knowledgeable of all aspects of a subsea system, the incumbent typically specializes in Control Systems.Coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of controls products and systems.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field plus 7 years’ related experience. Post graduate education such as a Masters or PhD in Engineering may be substituted for up to 2 or 3 year’s experience respectively.

Thorough knowledge of control systems and a keen understanding of their impact of changes in other parts of the subsea system and umbilicals.

Experience on offshore systems projects or EPC contracts.

An excellent opportunity for candidates that have a background with Coal Bed Methane Wells, to oversee a district that includes over 2000 wells located in the Midwest. You will manage and plan the drilling, completions, production, environmental, pipeline buildout, and leasehold development. A bachelor*s in engineering or geology is required, along with 15 to 20 years* industry experience. This position will require broad industry experience: to provide leadership for planning desorption based reservoirs and resource play development; manage leasehold development, supervise district personnel such as Engineers, Geologists, Production, Land personnel, etc; must have a very good understanding of the safety regulations to be observed; and be very knowledgeable of the environmental requirements associated with this industry. The client offers excellent benefits and relocation. Salary will be commensurate with industry experience with Coal Bed Methane Wells.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
# Responsible to Drilling Engineering / Completions Engineering Supervisor for all HSEC aspects of well design and completions.
# Accountable for the HSEC Management of design, manufacture, testing and putting in service of all well equipment used in well construction and the implementation of WWD HSEC Management Standards / Policies / FRC’s in well design and construction.
# Accountable for the direct contract management of all Engineering and Completion Contractors under his direction.
# Assist with the planning, implementation and close-out of HSEC Audits of Contractors and their equipment.

BEHAVIOURAL & LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES
* Good technical and operational understanding of drilling and/or completions.
* Safety management skills.
* One or two areas of technical or operations expertise.
* Sound knowledge of WWD Drilling, Completion and Operational Policies WWD000.

RESPONSIBILITIES
# Ensure well material and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements.
# Supervise responsible drilling engineers in carrying out their HSEC responsibilities.
# Assist the responsible drilling engineer in conducting well- and operational risk assessments and HAZOPS.
# Provide technical input to campaign risk assessments.
# Ensure the formal documentation resulting from any well risk assessment is included in the drilling programme for all wells.
# Familiar with WWD HSEC Management System and provide suggestions for improvement based on using it.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
# Engineering or Science Degree.
# GLP1 or equivalent management course.
# Supervisor’s well control.
# Advanced drilling industry technical courses.
# Risk management course.
# Audit course.
# 7 plus years drilling and/or completions experience on several different well types.
