Chevron Shipping Company is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Hull Structural Engineer located in Houston, TX through October 1, 2008.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree is required in Naval Architecture and/or Structural Engineering.
• In ADDITION to academic preparation, the position requires ideally about 10 years experience in the above disciplines.
• Strong capabilities and working experience in Naval Architecture with emphasis on marine hull specification, design and hull engineering analysis in tankers and ship-shaped Floating Systems Facilities such as FPSO.
• Experience in major offshore projects including development phases from concept development, FEED engineering, Detailed engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Working Experience with FPSO/FSO, Floating Gas units (for instance FLNG) including hull specification development. Knowledge of FPSO hull design practice, standards and regulations.
• Ability to work in team environment and contribute to team effectiveness.
• Working experience and knowledge of marine hull standards and regulations for tank vessels and gas carriers.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and spoken.
• Ability to organize and lead both others in the organization and outside contractors.
• Ability and experience in coordinating support to projects, both within the organization and outside.

Position Title: Senior Marine & Drilling Systems Engineer

The primary function of this position is to conduct engineering activities in support of basic design and detailed engineering design of marine and drilling systems on MODUs, drill ships and vessels etc.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
* Oversea development of PI&Ds for all marine and drilling systems.
* Review, comment, and approve PI&Ds and all other drawings associated with marine and drilling systems.
* Responsible for selection of methods and procedures for optimization of the design and materials within the scope of the
project specifications.
* Close cooperation and coordination with the design, drafting activities, and other disciplines including project management team.
* Engineer may be assigned as the package engineer for the equipment or components of the marine and drilling systems.
* All tasks and duties as assigned by SBM Offshore Group Management.

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Marine Systems Engineering
* 10 years engineering experience within the oil and gas industry
* Basic design and detailed engineering design of offshore facilities especially drilling rigs

Marine Manager

The Manager, Marine manages his functional department and staff through planning, implementing, administering and supervising marine operation programs as necessary to keep our fleet at work and as directed by senior management. This position will also provide expert advice regarding marine operations and leadership development for employees. Serves as the main point of contact for all marine related issues within the company.

Primary Responsibilities
• Supervise the marine operations of the fleet.
• Issue & update marine procedures and implement them throughout the Pride fleet
• Co-ordinate with Rig managers worldwide and supervise the rig move operations (including towage preparation or loadout & offloading) of the Pride fleet. Direct the team of Pride rig movers.
• Compile/maintain marine performances of the Pride fleet (rig moves, towages, transportations)
• Attend and supervise Rig Marine Audits
• Participate in chartering tug boats or heavy lift carriers for ocean rig moves or dry-transportations
• Maintain operational contact with Risk Management Department
• Liaise with Marine Warranty Surveyors for certificates of approval (location approvals, approval of transportations, approval of specific operations)
• Assist the Marketing Support Department for the mobilization of rig
• Update the Marine Operation Manuals of the Units of the Pride fleet, as needed
• Recommend competency & licensing profile for marine personnel to HR
• Work with Asset Management, Engineering, Projects, Operations and QHSE in executing his duties and ensure the work is completed on schedule and within budget.

Education:
• Master Mariner with advanced degree a plus.

• Experience with DP rigs.
• 10 years responsibility in captainship or OIM position onboard a floating rig or leading/supervising teams.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
