Hill Phoenix, a leading manufacturer of commercial refrigeration products has an opening for a Design Engineer at its' refrigerated display case division in Colonial Heights, VA. This position will be responsible for the design and development of new refrigerated display cases and case options for the supermarket and convenience store industries. Duties will include design, drafting, prototyping, bill structure and manufacturing support. Candidates are expected to work closely with the following internal departments: Marketing, Purchasing, Fabrication Planners & Production Line Leads, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Inside Sales & Product Testing. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering req with 1 - 5 years of design/ manufacturing exp. Prefer PRO/Engineer 2001 or later & 3-D CAD preferred. Must possess knowledge of sheet metal design, metal fabrication & plastics. Basic electrical knowledge a must. Must have a willingness to be hands-on when req.
