Gas Engine Project Engineer - Performs engineering work under guidance of the Proposal Manager requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.

Applies analytical techniques and experience to make calculations and selections of gas turbine and assemblies to solutions of mechanical engineering problems to ensure selected solutions meet the requirements. Develops specialized capabilities in disciplines of problem solving and analysis.

Coordinates the GT proposal generation with the suppliers and with D-R Gas Turbine Engineering Group.

Prepares and participates in the bid clarification meeting.

Assists SCM team in the negotiation with the suppliers if the turbine is a M.B.O.

Conducts or attends engineering meetings with customers and suppliers.

Interacts with sales and manufacturing personnel to resolve customer problems.

Suggest alternative solutions and qualify the value associated with this alternative.

Prepare the inquiry for the supplier based on the requisition received by the employer.

Coordinate with the operation the quality assurance requirement, delivery cycle required and logistics.

BSME (Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering) with 3+ years experience in Gas Turbines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to travel on occasion to field for problem resolution.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Good presentation skills.
