Engineering Project Manager

Engineering Project Manager:
The primary function of this position is to direct, conduct and coordinate all engineering activities in support of specific contracts, from project initiation through acceptance of the final product by the customer, including cost control. The position may serve as the Engineering Project Manager on significant and complex projects, with engineering teams up to 60 people.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
# Technical content of the project
# Leading and managing the engineering team
# Engineering budget
# Adherence to the project scope
# Adherence to the project budget
# Managing the engineering schedule
# Documenting and managing the design change control and
technical query process.
# Obtaining client and classification society technical approvals
# Coordinating engineering site support
# Managing the Package Engineering activities for his project
# Ensuring proper project filing and document control
# Maintaining good client/customer technical relations
# Adherence to HSE design requirements

Education and Experience:
# Bachelors Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or
Mechanical Engineering.
# Minimum 12 years experience in the offshore engineering
industry.
# Experience with the design, engineering and construction
of floating drilling units ( i.e. semi-submersibles, jack-ups or drill
ships)
# Professional Registration preferred.

Software Experience:
# General computer skills

All positions offered require excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills. Positions may require overseas travel and/or offshore assignment.
