Drilling Engineer

Job Function: Engineering
Job Level: Individual Contributor/Staff Level
Primary Location: NORTH AMERICA-USA-ALASKA-ANCHORAGE

Responsibilities:

Provide drilling engineering support in preparation of well plans and execution of daily operations. Primary function will be to ensure wells are planned and executed in a safe, cost effective, and environmentally responsible manner while adhering to all company core values, corporate safety policies, and local regulations. Drilling operations in Alaska are both development and exploratory with locations on both the North Slope and in Cook Inlet. The majority of the wells are directional from either central gravel pads or platforms and include horizontal, multilateral, ERD and ultra-ERD. The majority of the projects are on-shore developments in arctic conditions. Secondary functions include cost control and application of new technology.

Basic / Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
* Minimum three years of direct experience as an engineer in the petroleum industry with at least 2 years as a Drilling Engineer.
* Proficient with industry standard field reporting software (i.e. DIMS or Wellview) and engineering software packages (i.e. Landmark).
* Track record of developing, accessing, and/or applying new technology for continuous improvement.
* Willingness and ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
