Drilling Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience related to rig and field drilling operations. You will be part of a team that provides engineering services and support for all rig and contractor activities associated with geothermal well drilling programs.

You need a BS degree in Mechanical, Petroleum or Drilling Engineering or equivalent combination of education & experience.

You need experience designing & preparing procedures for new well completions, re-drills, and workovers. You will be expected to coordinate with other departments and sites to address company needs and issues. You need a thorough knowledge of drilling equipment and procedures including; Well Design, Well Servicing, Operational Risks, and Drilling Operations.
You need strong technical, operational, and planning abilities. You should have intermediate to advanced computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

You will be expected to establish and monitor benchmarks for quality of work.
You will be expected to maintain awareness of new drilling procedures and technologies and evaluates potential benefits.
You will be expected to assist in the development of drilling capital and expense budgets, including detailed justification.
You will also be expected to monitor actual costs incurred and compare to budgetary estimates.
