The Data Services team is responsible for data architecture, data infrastructure and operations for all MySpace.com data systems. The data mining developer will be a member of the Data Mining team. The candidate will be part of a team responsible for gathering and developing requirements for large scale distributed data mining systems. The candidate will work closely with the data mining architects and engineers to support MySpace features, working closely with application developers and product management. Responsibilities will also include data location, preparation of data and establishing scalable persistent pipelines from data-warehouses/data-marts or other sources to feed data mining with fresh data as needed, building fully automated ETL process

Required Skills:
• Minimum 3 years experience in the design and development of data systems and services focusing on scalability and high performance with large scale data, retrieval, extraction and automation
• Experience with SQL development in a transactional environment, expert in TSQL
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005
• Experience with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Service Broker is desirable
• Working skills in C# or VB.NET preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
