Position Description:
Develop and support infastructure to faciliate enterprise deployment and adoption of KX systems KDB/Q timeseries database product.

* Develop plugins in C/C++ to allow KDB to integrate with our messaging systems (application and market data) and RDBMS systems.

* Help design and deploy an enterprise tick plant.
* Write analytics libraries in Q
* Consult with application development groups to help them adopt and benefit from KDB
* Write and support model backtest frameworks

Skills Required:
Extremely good C/C++ skills - should be very familiar with multithreaded programming
Very high level of competence in using and troubleshooting Linux
Strong math background
Decent skills in a scripting language like perl or python

Skills Desired:
Hands on experience with KDB, Q or K a significant advantage
Experience with a functional language like CAML
Experience using maths/statistics packages such as Matlab/R
Experience devloping apps for/supporting a trading desk
Good communication skills
Interest in learning new technologies/gaining business knowledge
