A worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and sale of comprehensive systems and components for the Oil and Gas Production is aggressively looking for a Mechanical Designer Engineer in TEXAS. Must have a BS in Engineering and a minimum of 5 to 8 years offshore experience. This candidate should have good expertise with 2-D and/or 3-D computer aided design packages. Good familiarity with manufacturing methods (welding, machining, coating, material traceability, etc). Ability to independently initiate and implement complete component level designs reliably and with high quality. This candidate must be able to prepare design layouts, perform tolerance studies and make related calculations, prepare detail and assembly drawings in accordance with appropriate recognized standards, perform rigorous check for quality of own work and the work of other designers and drafters and participate in prototype development and assembly as directed by engineer or senior designer.
