Development Engineer

Title: Development Engineer (APU/Gas Turbine)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Job Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: per Year

Description: This person will identify, evaluate, develop, and support the implementation of projects to increase sales, improve processes, and reduce costs. The Development Engineer will manage assigned projects to ensure they are completed within the approved budget and schedule. Position Responsibilities:

* Plan, manage, execute, and report on technical programs with limited supervision
* Develop, substantiate, and qualify new processes, procedures, and equipment
* Develop shop paperwork to allow smooth transition of project into production
* Design tooling and fixtures (assembly, machining tooling, and fixtures, ergonomics, and functionality) as well as applying lean methods to the tooling design
* Develop training curriculum for new equipment, processes, and procedures as required to allow smooth transition of project into production
* Assist Planners, Supervisors, and Manufacturing Engineers with technical support
