Jacobs Technology is seeking a Design Engineer who will be involved in the implementation of a comprehensive design program in support of a large, advanced technology, research facility. This is a design and build project for a tritium processing system for a Testing Facility located in Livermore California. Will be part of a design team of 18 to 20 individuals. Responsibilities involve researching and completing design of components for the processing system. Will work closely with vendors and designers in the design and development of components needed for the processing system. With be involved in specification development, review and resolution of engineering issues. Experience in the handling of Tritium. Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with radiation specialist. Experience in assembly of a fully functional processing system. Familiarity with CAD systems - AutoCAD, Pro E, Intergraph PDS a plus, knowledge of Price Anderson Act a plus. B.S. in mechanical, industrial engineering or another related engineering discipline is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and negotiate with multiple customers in prioritizing work. Have a proven record of working in a collaborative team environment.
