Electrical Designer - Contract

Job Type: Temporary - Full Time
Location: houston, TX

We are currently recruiting for the following temporary position:

Electrical Designer:
The primary function of this position is design of offshore platforms.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
# Prepare drawings using the Company’s CAD system in accordance with the
Engineering Department’s Standard Instructions and Quality Assurance
requirements.
# When assigned to a project, work directly with the Project Lead Discipline
Engineer or the Engineering Project Manager and coordinate with other
engineers and designers to efficiently produce a high quality product within
the project budget.
# Apply design fundamentals; select and recommend procedures in design
and prepare designs for the Engineer’s approval.
# May coordinate drafting efforts on projects and may have a lead role on
projects.

All tasks and duties as assigned by SBM Offshore Group Management.

Education and Experience:
# High school diploma or equivalent technical school certificate
# 10 years designer experience particularly shipyard experience within the oil and gas
industry.

Education and Experience:
# AutoCAD
# General computer skills
