Offshore Structural Engineer

Job Description:
The Structural Engineer provides structural engineering support and performs structural design tasks on jackets, decks and topsides related to design and installation of offshore platforms and pipelines. In addition the engineer prepares design reports for clients, presents results and advises clients on questions related to structural design of offshore platforms and platform components, develops sketches and provides other input to drafting. The engineer may provide guidance to Staff Engineers on structural related issues and prepare and/or verify design reports prepared by Staff Engineers.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or Ocean Engineering or equivalent experience. In addition to the educational requirements, candidates should also possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in structural engineering that includes offshore structures, a working knowledge of applications of marine hydrodynamics, and experience in software packages like SACS, ALGOR, NASTRAN, SESAM, or ANSYS.

Domestic as well as international travel may be required.
