Client, the world's largest offshore drilling contractor, is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Specialist (Dynamic Positioning and Controls) for their Houston, Texas location. Candidate will perform analysis, troubleshoot and diagnose problems as required for projects and will assist to offshore drilling units. Other duties include supervising and inspecting work done by subcontractors and vendors. An Associates in Applied Sciences degree or equivalent, with extensive application experience in the respective DP/Controls discipline is needed. A minimum of 5 years experience with an offshore drilling contractor, marine contractor, service contractor, construction and engineering or consulting engineering firm is a must. Experience should include specific knowledge in control of DP vessels. Marine background should include installation, test, troubleshooting and commissioning of vessel's position reference, navigation, communication and/or data management systems.
