Responsibilities:

Monsanto has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer in the Crop Analytics division of its Chemistry and Animal Ag Technology organization in St. Louis, MO. This position represents a full-time career opportunity in an exciting, dynamic environment serving a broad range of research and development needs of a growing agricultural company. The person filling this position must be able to perform well in a team environment, have good verbal and written communication skills, and possess clear potential for rapid growth and learning. This position may require up to 20% travel.

Required Skills:

Qualifications/Competencies: The successful candidate must have either a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering with at least three years of work place experience or at least ten years of equivalent work place experience. The candidate must have a proven track record of developing mechanisms and automation solutions. Key competencies required of this position include strong communication skills, ability to work with clients, results orientation, customer focus, teamwork, and problem solving skills. Experience in designing precision mechanisms, optical assemblies, and automation systems using 3-D CAD modeling is required. Experience with Solidworks in a multi-user environment is preferred but not required if the candidate has experience with similar 3-D CAD packages. Experience using 3-D CAD to create detailed drawings for fabrication and general knowledge of fabrication processes is required.
