Position Summary
The Marine Engineer reports to the Manager, Offshore Engineering of the Marine Operations Department. He performs studies related to naval architecture, mooring, stability and ship system of MODUs of the Pride fleet, in accordance with oilfield and marine industries codes and standards. He will implement the engineering guidelines and procedures in force in the department. H e shall be familiar with rules of classification and other IMO resolutions applicable to the mobile offshore drilling units.

Primary Responsibilities
• Conduct mooring analysis and compile reports to be submitted to regulatory bodies or warranty surveyors.
• Conduct stability analysis or calculations compile reports to be submitted to regulatory bodies or warranty surveyors.
• Conduct structural analysis or calculations compile reports to be submitted to regulatory bodies or warranty surveyors.
• Direct drafters for drawing issuance.
• Attend rig inspections for repairs, either in operations or in shipyard
• Execute technical duties in a competent and professional manner.
• Apply departmental standards, procedures, and systems.
• Participate in work groups, task force, committees, and project teams as needed.
• Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor degree in marine engineering, structural engineering and/or naval architecturte preferred.
Skills – Technical:
• Sound marine engineering knowledge
• Structural engineering knowledge is a plus
• 3 or 4 years in similar position with an engineering company
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Proficient in Ariane or similar mooring analysis software
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills.
• Working experience in the offshore drilling industry or marine industry is required.
Skills – Communication:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish, French, or Portuguese).
Skills – People:
• Ability to understand & react with diverse groups & operations.

fastenings, launching techniques, and so on.
