Job Description

Is fully competent in standard techniques, procedures and criteria used in carrying out a sequence of engineering tasks. Under general supervision, performs all aspects of work applying new information and concepts. Assists in developing recommendations for more difficult and complex issues. Provides technical support for the evaluation, design, implementation, and post well analysis of all phases of drilling operations. Responsible for risk assessments and operational decisions.

* Provides supervision to project and well site supervisors
* Conducts well planning and design
* Performs drilling and well intervention operations
* Maintains drilling records
* Bids, reviews, and recommends services for rig operations
* Reviews and approves invoices
* Responsible for maintaining required safety training and compliance

Required Experience

* Bachelors degree in an Engineering related discipline
* 10 years of experience in drilling, completion, and workover engineering activities
* Strong working knowledge of directional drilling
* Experience with horizontal drilling is a plus
* Knowledge of field operation, rig selection, equipment selection and personnel requirements
* Proficient in drilling engineering design
* Ability to organize, prioritize and make decisions under time restrictions Decision-Making Authority/Knowledge Responsible for all phases of drilling operations.
