Description:

Senior Offshore Drilling Engineer Texas, Houston Plan and implement all phases of well operations, well completions and drilling activities. Administer various plans, policies and programs related to drilling activities; work closely with contract crews to insure efficient, safe operations; keep Drilling Manager advised on progress of drilling activities. Plan and implement all phases of planning and operations for wells drilled, completed and worked over in onshore and offshore areas. Stay abreast of current technology in the drilling activities. Prepare cost estimates and AFE for the drilling, completion and workover of wells. Evaluate offset drilling data for estimating well costs. Develop the well program for drilling, completion and workovers of wells. Coordinate all necessary permitting requirements. Stay abreast of state and federal laws and regulations as applicable. Prepare work scope and evaluate the bidding of goods and services for drilling completion workover operations. Enforce E&P safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering. 12+ years experience in oil and gas offshore drilling practices with Gulf of Mexico experience. Experience with land, barge, platform, jack-ups and floating drilling rigs. Deep water experience will be considered a plus. Previous field drilling experience is desirable. Experience with completion/ workover program design and wellsite supervision. Knowledge of state and federal regulatory laws and regulations.
